Calamity Jane will be the second collaboration between Bookham Light Operatic and the Nomads. Unusually
it started as a film musical in 1953 starring Doris Day and Howard Keel. It was adapted for the stage and was
first performed in St Louis in 1961. Although a comedy the musical has many tender moments and classic songs including ‘Deadwood Stage, Windy City, Black Hills of Dakota and Secret Love’.
