Phoebe Gaydon leads three choirs – Godalming Jazz Choir, Guildford Jazz Choir and most recently, Godalming Contemporary Youth Jazz Choir. Each are a small independent groups meeting once a week, sometimes accompanied by Alex Howe, resident pianist.

Jazz, pop, rock, musical theatre… “you name it we’ve got it” & all the arrangements are originally constructed by Phoebe & Alex. The choirs are often to be found at community events in the area including Guildford Fringe Festival and for cocktail hour at Komo, Guildford.

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our social media feeds for announcements of new artists… and of course, apply if you wish to take part.

    Hi there,

We wanted to get in touch to ask if you would be happy to share some information with your members about a fantastic fundraising concert, featuring the London International Gospel Choir, at G Live, Guildford on Friday 20 September.

Raising money for Donate4Refugees, LIGC will be pulling out all the stops at a feel-good celebration of stunning group harmonies, exceptional solos and boundless energy – and we hope that your group might be able to join us on the night! While we of course would love to give you a special offer for your group – we don’t want to take any of the proceeds away from the charitable cause, so we’re happy to offer Groups of 8+ fee free booking, which while only saving £1 per ticket – is our way of saying thank you for considering joining us at the show.

While we are sure you’re aware, the LIGC have wowed audiences at events like Michelle Obama’s book launch, tours with Take That and Lulu and recently joined Hugh Jackman on stage at the O2, we are delighted that they’re now headed for G Live with an autumn party that is not to be missed.

The charity Donate4Refugees have made it their mission to help refugees caught up in the humanitarian crisis unfolding on our doorstep. Delivering emergency aid to men, women and children suffering in refugee camps across Europe, the money goes straight to those who need it most.

Tickets to this evening of music are priced from £18 – £27 each, and are available from G Live, Guildford on 01483 369350 or online at We have attached a poster which we hope you might share with your members or display for all to see. We would be happy to discuss competitions or any queries you might have further by reply, so please feel free to get in touch.

But in the meantime, we hope you and your peers will be keen to attend – and look forward to welcoming you to the show.

    With best wishes,
    George Davies
